Terms of Service

By using Sift you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app. As to the data the app processes, these terms are read together with the Privacy Policy.

Who provides the service

Sift is developed and provided by Yasin Çetin (Türkiye). Contact: hellosiftapp@gmail.com. In these terms "we" means that provider and "you" means the person using the app.

Who may use it

Sift is not directed to anyone under 13. If you are below the age at which you can consent to digital services on your own in your country, you may use the app only with the permission of a parent or guardian. By using the app you confirm that you are able to enter into these terms.

Price

Sift is currently free and contains no in-app purchases. If we introduce paid features later, the price and what it covers will be stated clearly before any purchase; features you already use will not be put behind a charge without notice.

The service

Sift is a personal tool that lets you save content you come across on social media, organizes it automatically, and helps you find it again. The service is currently under development; features may change, become temporarily unavailable, or be removed.

Your account

You can use the app without an account. To sync your data across devices you sign in with your Apple or Google account. You are responsible for the security of your account and of the devices you sign in on.

Acceptable use

When using Sift you agree not to:

• Violate applicable law or the rights of others.
• Abuse the service with automated tools, place excessive load on it, or attempt to circumvent its security measures.
• Connect accounts you do not own, or send content on someone else's behalf.
• Use the service to collect or distribute content without permission.

Content and rights

The content you save belongs to you; Sift processes it only as far as needed to provide the service. Copyright in the content you save remains with its respective owners — Sift does not republish, distribute, or share it with third parties. You are responsible for ensuring that the links you save comply with the terms of the relevant platform.

Third-party services

Sift relies on services from Apple, Google (Firebase) and RevenueCat. Those providers' own terms and privacy policies apply, and complying with them is your responsibility. Interruptions, changes or access restrictions on their side are outside our control.

AI-generated content

Summaries, tags and categories in the app are produced by AI and may be wrong. They are informational and are not a substitute for professional advice. You can correct categories at any time.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We make no warranty that it will run uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service. Backing up your data is your responsibility — account deletion cannot be undone.

This limitation does not cover liability that cannot be limited by law: damage caused by intent or gross negligence, damage to life or physical integrity, and any consumer rights that cannot be excluded by agreement remain unaffected. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by these terms.

Termination

You can delete your account from within the app at any time; that permanently removes your data and cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your device does not by itself remove your data from the server — for that, use the account deletion step.

We reserve the right to restrict or end access to the service where these terms are breached, and will try to give notice beforehand where the nature of the breach allows. If we decide to discontinue the service entirely, we will announce it in the app or on this page with reasonable notice so you can export your data.

About the Apple App Store

You obtain Sift through the App Store, but these terms are between you and us; Apple is not a party to them. We alone are responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app; send support requests to the contact address above. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, Apple's liability is limited to refunding the purchase price, if any, and any further claims are directed to us. We are responsible for addressing claims relating to the app, including product liability, consumer-law conformity, and intellectual property infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and have the right to enforce them against you. You also confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. embargo and are not on any prohibited-party list.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Disputes fall to the authorities determined under the general rules of law; if you use the app as a consumer, your right to apply to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts where you live, and the mandatory consumer rules of your country of residence, remain unaffected.

General

• If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions stay in force.
• Not exercising a right immediately does not mean we waive it.
• We may transfer our rights under these terms if the service is transferred; your rights are not adversely affected.
• If the Turkish and English versions conflict, the Turkish version prevails.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced in the app; the date at the top of this page reflects the version in force. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms; if you do not accept them, you can delete your account.
